Question of Added Drives

I’m wondering if I can easily attach this to my Blue and White G3. I think it should simply attach to the IDE cable that’s inside my case already, but I’m not sure:

45GB IBM DeskStar 75GXP 7200RPM 2MB ATA/66 HD. (IBM07N3931)

Isn’t an ATA drive compatible with IDE?
