Verdana and the Web

Verdana is a great san-serif screen font that I encourage the use of. It was funded by Microsoft, but released for free and in fact has been part of Windows and Mac OS releases for some years now.

In summary:

Verdana came with Win98/IE 4, Since 1997

Verdana came with Mac OS 8.5/IE 5, Since 1998
